Hosting, training and consulting services

Hosting The Research Farm provides ideal facilities for small teams, executives, or working parties to meet, work and relax, with or without consultative assistance. It is regularly used by university departments or centres as a writing retreat for their members, providing space for people to work individually or in small groups over a few days of concentrated effort. Consulting Consultation is provided to individuals and groups on research design, methodological choices, analysis strategies (qualitative, quantitative and mixed methods), and preparation of theses, papers and reports. Working with project teams to set up for efficient data analysis (preferably at the start of a project) is a specialty, typically resulting in significant savings of time and money for the team.

Training Training courses as outlined below are provided on an occasional basis at the Research Farm (at present, this is only if requested by a small group). Courses and seminars: Qualitative data analysis with NVivo Mixed methods research design and analysis strategies Strategies for analysing qualitative data Planning/writing research Analysis and writing Student retreats Weekend retreats for PhD students are also held on an occasional basis. These offer to research students the opportunity to network, and to share ideas and knowledge with other students through facilitated discussions in a relaxed environment.
